RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
Research programs are aimed to the development of new diagnostic/prognostic biomarkers for brain disorders and treatment response using multimodal imaging (PET/SPECT/MRI, Optical Imaging). In particular, research activities are focused on: a) development of new radiopharmaceuticals for brain molecular imaging; b) development of new imaging biomarker in mice or cell models of brain diseases; c) validation of metabolic modulator as potential tool for the treatment of brain tumour. Part of the research activities are dedicated to the set up and optimization of MRI procedures thanks to the acquisition of a 7T system in collaboration with physics, engineers.
